2019 Sony Open

2019 Sony Open Live, The back half of the beautiful two-week Hawaii swing to start every golf calendar year starts this week, and we have a loaded field at the 2019 Sony Open at Waialae Country Club. Last week’s Tournament of Champions was terrific — and remains one of the better events of the first part of the year — but this one will feel more like a traditional PGA Tour event with a bigger field, more golf and that same primetime finish on Sunday evening.

My wishes for how it finishes go something like this: 1. Patrick Reed and Jordan Spieth in the same Sunday pairing vying for the lei. And that’s the whole list. I don’t even have a No. 2 or anything beyond that.

Regardless of how Sunday goes, a field with Spieth, Reed, Bubba Watson, Justin Thomas, Cam Champ, Hideki Matsuyama and Bryson DeChambeau should be a nice treat to what we got last week at Kapalua.

Here’s a look at the schedule of events so you can watch all the action.

NHL Winter Classic 2019 Live

Date: Tuesday, Jan. 1
Time: 1 p.m. ET
Location: Notre Dame Stadium — Notre Dame, Indiana
Channel: NBC

The Bruins and Blackhawks meet in the 11th NHL Winter Classic at Notre Dame Stadium in Notre Dame, Ind. on New Year’s Day.

Boston (21-14-4) head into Tuesday’s marquee matchup in fourth place in the Atlantic Division with 46 points, just two points behind the Sabres for third. However, the Bruins do hold the first wild-card spot in the East by just one point over the Canadiens.

The Blackhawks (15-20-6) have seen a downturn in recent years since their domination earlier in the decade. Chicago’s 36 points are tied for the fourth-lowest point total in the league and place it second to last in the Central Division.

Tuesday will also mark the Blackhawks’ fourth appearance in the Winter Classic and their first since 2017 when they lost to the Blues 4-1 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Chicago is 0-3 all time in the Winter Classic.

The NHL will be heading outside on New Year’s Day again to kick off 2019. The league is set to open another calendar year with their annual outdoor Winter Classic game, and here is what you need to know about this year’s event.

This year’s game is being held at Notre Dame Stadium in on the school’s campus in Indiana. It’s the first time that the home of the Fighting Irish has hosted an outdoor hockey game, and it’s the first time that the game is not being played in the host team’s state. It’s expected to be the second-most attended Winter Classic ever, as seating capacity at Notre Dame Stadium is listed at 77,622.

Who is playing?
It will be a rematch of the 2013 Stanley Cup Final, as the Chicago Blackhawks will host the Boston Bruins in their first meeting of the season.

The Blackhawks have had a tumultuous season to this point. At 15-20-6, they currently sit second-to-last in the Central division and have the second-worst points percentage in the entire NHL. They fired coach Joel Quenneville, who led the team to three Stanley Cup titles in a six-year span, earlier this season following a slow start. Now with Jeremy Colliton behind the bench, the Blackhawks — led by Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith — are looking to salvage what’s left of this season. They’ll head into the Winter Classic riding a two-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, the Bruins battled a ton of key injuries in the early going but are trying to keep pace in a very tough Atlantic division led by the Lightning and Maple Leafs. They currently sit fourth in the division, behind Tampa, Toronto and Buffalo.

Roger Federer has started his Hopman Cup campaign in perfect fashion, brushing past world No.91 Cameron Norrie 6-1 6-1 in 57 minutes.

After the win he said he was fond of the tournament, giving a shoutout to his wife MIrka, with whom he once partnered with at the event.

“It’s always fun coming here. I’ve had the most wonderful partners in Martina [Hingis], my wife Mirka, Belinda [Bencic],” Federer said on court.“I feel very much at home here .”

Federer faced three break points in his first service game, but kept his cool to race out to a 5-0 lead.

Norrie rarely challenged the world No.3, with Federer’s win giving Switzerland a 1-0 lead over Great Britain before Belinda Bencic clashed with Katie Boulter.

It was tough going for Norrie, who had to wait six games before getting one back off Federer in the first set. The Kiwi-Brit exaggerated his celebration in comical fashion with the crowd after claiming the rare game.

Roger Federer started preparation for his Australian Open title defence in style with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Cameron Norrie at the Hopman Cup.
The 37-year-old Federer sent his 23-year-old opponent from Britain back to reality in a one-sided match lasting just 57 minutes.

The No. 91-ranked Norrie had defeated Greece’s No. 15-ranked Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets on Saturday in one of the biggest victories of his career, but was outclassed in his first match against Federer.

“This was a great start but obviously a long way to go here and in Melbourne,” Federer said.

Mayweather vs Nasukawa

Mayweather vs Nasukawa Live

16 months on from coming out of retirement to beat Conor McGregor in 10 rounds, Mayweather is back for another money-spinner – taking on a 20-year-old opponent in a carefully negotiated exhibition match.

The former five-weight world champion has made no secret of his motivation behind taking this fight – money, in case you were wondering – but Nasukama has designs on knocking the former welterweight king out cold on the final day of 2018.

Mayweather is more than twice the age of his Japanese opponent, the 20-year-old known as “Ninja Boy” but will carry a more than 4kg weight advantage into the ring.

The bout in Saitama, north of Tokyo, is part of a 14-fight card which is scheduled to begin at 5pm AEDT and can be purchased for $24.99 at FITETV.

It will be fought over three rounds of three minutes but there are no judges and no winner will be declared unless there is a knockout.

The bout will also not count on the record of either fighter — allowing both men to retain their cherished unbeaten records — and is being promoted as a pure exhibition match.

It will also be boxing only — putting Nasukawa at a disadvantage, with the kickboxer reportedly liable to a $7 million fine if he aims a kick at Mayweather.

The purse has not been officially disclosed but media reports have claimed that Mayweather is making $125 million for the nine minutes of action. That’s more than $230,000 per second.

At a pre-fight news conference, a relaxed-looking Mayweather said he could complete three rounds “in his sleep”.

“It is all about entertainment. I don’t worry about anything,” said Mayweather, a legend in the boxing world who has a perfect 50 in and zero defeats record with 27 knockouts.

The relaxed American said he would not be concerned even if he were to be floored by his Japanese opponent.

“Me getting knocked out or me getting knocked down … I don’t worry about it at all. If that does happen, I mean that’s entertainment. That’s all we need to see,” said Mayweather.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins

Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins Live,With a playoff spot hanging in the balance, the Philadelphia Eagles (8-7), led by backup quarterback and Super Bowl hero Nick Foles, meet the Washington Redskins, led by backup quarterback Josh Johnson, in an NFC East Week 17 NFL football game on Sunday, December 30, 2018 (12/30/18) at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins Live

When: Sunday at 4:25 PM ET
Where: FedEx Field, Maryland

Philadelphia will square off against Washington at 4:25 p.m. on Sunday. Philadelphia will be strutting in after a victory while Washington will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Philadelphia received the perfect holiday gift last week. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 32-30 win from a begrudging Philadelphia squad. Their success was spearheaded by the efforts of Nick Foles, who passed for 471 yards and 4 touchdowns, and Zach Ertz, who caught 12 passes for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Washington’s holiday cheer might be a little lacking this year after getting coal in their stocking last Saturday. They came up short against Tennessee, falling 16-25.

Philadelphia are the favorite in this one, with an expected 6.5-point margin of victory. They may be expected to win, but bettors beware: they are only 3-7-1 against the spread when favored.

Philadelphia had enough points to win and then some against Washington when the two teams last met, taking their game 28-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for Philadelphia since the team won’t have home-field advantage. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers Live,With playoff implications, the Cincinnati Bengals (6-9), led by quarterback Jeff Driskel, meet the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6-1), led by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, in an NFC North NFL Week 17 football game on Sunday, December 30, 2018 (12/30/18) at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers Live

When: Sunday at 4:25 PM ET
Where: Heinz Field, Pennsylvania

On Sunday Pittsburgh will take on Cincinnati at 4:25 p.m. Pittsburgh will be hoping to build upon the 28-21 win they picked up against Cincinnati the last time they played.

Pittsburgh’s holiday cheer might be a little lacking this year after getting coal in their stocking last week. They fell just short of New Orleans by a score of 28-31. Antonio Brown put forth a good effort for the losing side as he caught 14 passes for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Cincinnati were out to avenge their 20-35 defeat to Cleveland from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Cincinnati fell to Cleveland 18-26. Cincinnati were down by 0-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Pittsburgh are the favorite in this one, with an expected 14.5-point margin of victory. They are currently two for two ATS in their most recent games, a trend bettors might want to take into account.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. We’ll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.

Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings

Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings Live,We’ve almost made it to the final game of the 2018 NFL regular season, and our favorite football team is in a must-win situation as the Minnesota Vikings will line it up on Sunday afternoon against the 2018 NFC North champs, the Chicago Bears. The Vikings are officially into the 2018 NFL playoffs with a win, regardless of what any other team does, and they know what’s on the line in this one. Is it going to be enough to get themselves a victory?

Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings Live

Location: U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota, Minnesota
Date: Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018
Time: 3:25 pm CT

The final game of the 2018 NFL season is here for the Minnesota Vikings and it is an essential one. If the team can beat the Chicago Bears, they will go on to the playoffs in hopes of some postseason glory.

This game will be watched by most of the country in the late afternoon time slot in a game which will decide the final spot in the playoffs between the Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Vikings are in if they beat Chicago or both Minnesota and the Eagles lose.

Here is all the information fans will need to enjoy the game no matter where you are, starting with the basic details!

Minnesota will square off against Chicago at 4:25 p.m. on Sunday. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.

Minnesota won the last time they met up with Detroit, and they shouldn’t regret having come to the reunion, either. The stars were brightly shining for Minnesota in a 27-9 victory over them last Sunday. Their success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kyle Rudolph, who caught 9 passes for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Kirk Cousins, who passed for 253 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Chicago received the perfect holiday gift last week. They got past San Francisco with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 14-9. Winning may never get old, but Chicago sure are getting used to it with three in a row now.

Minnesota are the favorite in this one, with an expected 4.5-point margin of victory. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (6-2-1), so they might be worth a quick bet.
